Touchcom
helped pioneer the digital CCTV revolution in the commercial
real estate arena by installing some of the first digital
systems in both the Chicago and New York City markets. By
now, digital systems have all but replaced the antiquated
VCRs and multiplexers of the past.

|
Today Touchcom
has formed a tight alliance with DVTel,
whose products are integrated with other Touchcom security systems.
Touchcom's and DVTel's
compatible view of an IP networked environment as the backbone of
a modern security system naturally merges the two companies' products
into a compatible whole.

DVTel
systems can record up to XXX hours of video at XXX frames
per second. A nearly infinite amount of cameras may be viewed
at any terminal (up to 16 cameras at a time) and functions
such as zoom, pan and motion detection are available for
the cameras. Video can be instantly played back while other
video is still recording, without the hassle of rewinding
through tapes -- just request a date and time. Soon, video
will be able to stream over the web to any internet terminal
in the world, providing a secure way to monitor your building
from wherever you may be.
Touchcom's
extensive experience in camera installation insures that
all elements are considered: lighting, angle, coverage,
depth, etc. but also the aesthetics of the environment.
The right camera selection at every location matches the
need for the best quality image on the screen and the best
physical installation at the camera location.

CCTV
Modules and Products
DVTel systems
consist of several different modules, all tied together with the
security network used for card access, visitor admissions and alarm
monitoring. Below are some of the key modules used in a Touchcom/DVTel
CCTV system.
| SecureLink
Network Video Recording Software (NVRS) |
| |
The
SecureLink NVRS is a full-featured, enterprise-wide monitoring,
surveillance and recording software system which functions
as an integration platform for several mission-critical security
systems. The NVRS Platform incorporates the most sought after
features of three best-in-class hardware systems: digital
video recorders (DVR), video matrix switches, and video multiplexers
– into one software based system.
These
system functions are available anywhere there is network availability.
Users can view from their desk workstations. The full security
guard console can be replicated wherever there is network
connectivity.

| SecureLink
Transmission and Switching Solutions |
| |
The
SecureLink architecture uses video encoder boxes based on
the latest video compression, MPEG-4, to encode standard camera
signals into an IP stream. The encoders can be located near
the cameras and are placed right onto the IP network. The
result is the conversion of all CCTV signals into IP processable
data that is delivered to the viewing stations and the data
storage devices over the security network (instead of expensive
coax cable). The data can be processed via software running
on standard PCs (as opposed to proprietary recorder designs)
and recorded onto standard IT mass storage devices. The only
proprietary hardware components are the inexpensive encoders.

Virtual Matrix Switch Software |
| |
The
SecureLink Virtual Matrix Switch is designed to completely
replace a legacy matrix’s analog cross point switching
fabric with digital network fabric. MAtrix hardware is no
longer needed. However, the DVTel software can be interfaced
to existing matrix system controllers and connected peripheral
equipment and translates the matrix switching commands to
IP network routing commands. All matrix functionality can
be carried out over the network while preserving the standard
matrix keyboards, text overlays, PTZ protocol generators,
and other equipment that carries out the matrix mission.

| InSight
Security Control and Data Acquisition Software (SCADA) |
| |
DVTel’s
InSight SCADA brings a new dimension to managing today’s
complex security environment. This unique software application
seamlessly extends the powerful SecureLink NVRS interface
to process control and building automation systems. The integrated
solution gathers information in real time from CCTV cameras,
HVAC, sensors and process control systems, from both local
and remote sites in order to control camera equipment and
trigger alarm events.
The SCADA
system includes hardware and software components. The PLC
hardware gathers and feeds data into the SecureLink NVRS that
has SCADA software installed. The SCADA subsystem then processes
this data, presents and records it in a timely manner. SCADA
detects and makes notifications via pop-up screens, alarms,
email's, SMS, or pagers when conditions are outside of normal
parameters.

NetSCAN Software |
| |
DVTel’s
SecureLink NetSCAN represents the first “mission-aware”
software solution designed to manage a wide variety of networked
security systems and edge devices. NetSCAN monitors all the
security devices that are on the IP network. Unlike most Network
Management Software (NMS) products, NetSCAN was designed to
automatically discover, recognize, provision and monitor mission-critical,
security edge devices and associated management software components
from installation through long-term system-integrity reporting.
NetSCAN can operate as a stand-alone application or with an
existing NMS to provide a cohesive view of the topology of all
network-attached security assets. |
